Welcome to Camp Weona!
Discover what summer dreams are made of at YMCA Camp Weona. During their stay campers participate in adventure programming, outdoor living skills, athletics, and the creative arts. Through these activities, campers develop self-confidence, teamwork, an appreciation of the outdoors, creativity, and pride in themselves and their newly learned skills. Most importantly, they come back with fond memories and friendships that last a lifetime. YMCA Camp Weona serves children 6-17 years old with exciting summer camp options for one, two, or several week stays.

Traditional Camp, Ages 7-15
One-week sessions, Sunday to Saturday. Each week follows a different theme. Throughout their week, campers travel through camp as a group experiencing all YMCA resident camp has to offer.
Leader-In-Training (LIT), Ages 15-16
The Leader-In-Training program helps teens begin to take the next step from camper to leader. This program is perfect for teens who love camp and are also interested in developing skills in communication, team building, problem solving, and conflict resolution. Instead of around a table, our leaders learn in the outdoors, around a campfire, playing games, and taking challenges Participants must be age 15 by July 1, and should be available for both weeks of the program, and do go home between sessions.
Counselor-In-Training (CIT), Ages 16-17
The Counselor-In-Training program helps teens put their leadership skills to the test by planning and facilitating camp programs and mentoring youth throughout camp. Upon completion of the CIT program, many participants choose to become staff members to help give younger campers an experience as meaningful as their own. Because of the important work we do with children at camp, we take the training of our young leaders and future counselors very seriously. Participants must be 16 years old by July 1 and should be available for all three weeks of the program, and do go home between sessions.
Health & Safety
The health and safety of the children in our care is our top priority. The YMCA is committed to providing a safe and fun experience for your children, while following guidance from the CDC, Department of Health, and New York State Office of Child and Family Services. A full-time camp health officer lives on-site 24 hours a day. Camp is regulated by the New York State Health Department and accredited by the American Camping Association (ACA).
