Take Action to Improve Heart Health

The simple process of checking and recording your blood pressure at least twice a month has been shown to lower blood pressure in some people with hypertension. Aiming to accomplish at least 150-minutes of moderate-vigorous intensity exercise will also help in maintaining heart health.

In partnership with the Blueprint for Hypertension Initiative, Blood Pressure Kiosks are available for regular self-monitoring access at each YMCA location. American Heart Association educational materials are also available at each station for blood pressure categories, risk factors for high blood pressure and stroke, and tips for lowering blood pressure readings safely.  Registration is open at no cost for YMCA members.
